This process might be required more than once. To recharge it, completely exhaust the battery, then recharge it, and exhaust it again before you recharge it a second time. Decreased operating time may indicate that the battery has built up a charging resistance. After your first time charging, allow the battery to charge for at least 12 hours. Do not pick up toxic material (chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, etc.). Always turn OFF this appliance before connecting or disconnecting the motorized nozzle. The first time you charge, allow the battery to charge uninterrupted for at least 16 hours. Do not pick up flammable materials (lighter fluid, gasoline, kerosene, etc.) or use in the presence of explosive liquids or vapors. If the battery is fully exhausted while in use, press the power switch once to turn it off before charging. The power switch must be in the OFF position to charge. The charging indicator light will illuminate once it’s properly connected and turn off once it’s fully charged.
